- Yesterday I got the new Lionbrand catalog in the mail. Yeah!! I've been waiting for it for what seems like forever. I just love looking at all the yarn and checking out the patterns. Although, like most yarn publications they cater to the knitters more, but whatever. You can still get some great ideas from them. The mesh top over the bikini is adorable. It would look good over a tank top in the summer. I'm seriously considering getting the pattern for the swirly poncho. I really like the look of it. Very clean and feminine.
- I am delving into the world of felting again. I have like 5 balls of White Buffalo wool. (That is a story unto itself).. Not real sure that I am a fan of it, but it does felt up nicely. I just don't enjoy working with it. I must be heavy handed or something because I am forever breaking the yarn--arahhhhh! I made a small purse as an experiment yesterday. It's cute, but not practicle. I am almost done with an awesome bag. I can't wait till it is completed and I can publish a picture for you to see. It is turning out just as I picture it in my head (which is unusual, cause that rarely happens).. I think I will make up some little envelope change purses to add in Christmas presents this year. I may even try a felted hat. Hell, I definately have enough wool.
- My little one has open house at his school tonite, so that should be fun. They have a silent auction on theme baskets that each class puts together. My sons class did a Nascar basket. How appropriate for our household since my husband is a giant fan. I donated a Days of Thunder DVD. Hookie, yes yet also fitting. I was gonna make a blanket or pillow, but couldn't find the material that just has the Nascar logo on it. Not everyone is a Jr. fan or a Gordan fan. So, I went with Tom Cruise. Ha Ha. They always have a chocolate basket which I won last year (thank you). and a Tennessee Titans basket. We came close to getting that one but at the last, about seven people rushed in and out bid us. There were 4 tickets to a Dec. game in it. Damn. Maybe tonite is the nite... we'll see.
Have a great day everyone!! Peace~DAWN
